A couple of weeks ago I tried my first face (the one facing left – not got used to the formatting yet), in general I was fairly happy with it though it did end up looking malnorished and I wasn’t too keen on the hair.

Last night I had another attempt, at a different picture this time. Overall I think there has been some improvement. The shading on the face is better and more consistent. There has been some improvement with the hair though still not happy with it.

Doing both of these I find it fascinating how little detail is needed to create such complicated features as ears and eyes. I started with the eye to get it out of the way and it looked nothing like one, however once the rest of the face had been filled in it suddenly turned into an eye.

Going to go have a look on google for the next picture I’m going to try now, may try a full figure although I am really enjoying just doing faces.

Watching some of season 4 of Doctor Who I decided I’d like to have a go at some of the scences from it (they seemed to make good pictures). Upon googlecaveing it though unable to find any of the scenes I wanted. I did however find a decent side on view of Jenny which I decided to have a go at instead.
